Lineweight files and plotting issues with AutoCAD 2013 for Mac

I have the student version of AutoCAD 2013 for Mac. My peers were given a ctb file in a precious class that has preset lineweights that one selects at the time of plotting. I am not able to upload this file and the files that come with the program do not separate different lineweights. How can I get a ctb file to work on AutoCAD 2013 for Mac? I am currently not able to plot with different lineweights.
