How Do You Rotate a View in a Viewport?

Q I can't get the vprotateassoc to work as the help gives directions to do so.

I set vprotateassoc to 1, choose a tab and view, enter R for rotate.

This is where I loose it because it blows up after that,..no action!

A Have you tried using DVIEW > TWIST ?
