I'm an AutoCAD user for 20 years.

I'm using CAD for stair building and general woodwork.

I've found a free CAD system that is very like Autocad called Progecad smart.

Built around Intellicad, it does 2D and non 3D, but the full 3D solid modeling version is at less than $300 and is just like AutoCAD 2009.
