Broken or Dotted Lines Display as Solid Lines

I've tried to assign several different line types to my hidden line layer, but they all, except one, display as solid lines.

The one that doesn't (Dot) shows one or two dots only over the course of a 3-inch line. The others (ISO dash, ISO dash space, Dashed, Dashed

2) all display as solid lines.

Any idea what's happening?

Is there some sort of interplay with the scale?

First I would ask if you have adjusted your line type scale (ltscale) accordingly?

Next, do any of these line types have a scale factor applied to them?

If you click on one of the lines to highlight it, then type "CH" it should show you the properties of the line.

Look at the linetype scale and see what it is set to.

Now do the same for the does show does and compare the two. Are they the same?

Also, is this problem happening in model space or paper space?
