I need to convert drawings in AutoCAD LT to JPEG. Is there an easy way to do it, or do I need additional software?
Answer
It's been a while since I've used AutoCAD LT, so maybe some others can chime in here if I'm way off base.
In AutoCAD you can choose to plot to a .jpg file in the plot device drop down menu.
Not sure if your version of AutoCAD LT has this or not, but worth a check in the plot settings.
If not, you could always plot to a PDF file, using this
free DWG to PDF software and then use something like the free trial of ACDSee to convert from a PDF to JPEG. Although that does seem like a lot of work.
There is also a file conversion service (free and paid) at http://www.zamzar.com where you upload the drawing file(s) up to 100 MB, choose your desired output file type, enter your e-mail address, and they will send it to you once converted.
I can't personally attest to their service (although I did upload a file for conversion and am still waiting for it to be e-mailed to me) but it might be worth a try.
Maybe others can chime in here...
